Laser tattoo removal
What is it ?
Available on January 2016, the laser tattoo removal is possible with our Harmony XL platform from Alma Laser. It’s a Q-Switch Nd Yag laser that allow us to break the ink pigment that will be evacuated by the body afterwards.
Contraindication ?
Pregnant women and women who breastfeed shouldn’t follow this treatment. The use of tanning booths, self-tanning products or light-sensible medication is contraindicated. Sunlight exposition is also prohibited for the duration of the treatment and while you’re healing. In case of exposition to sunlight, cases of hyper or hypo pigmentation is possible.
Process
On a perfectly wahed skin, the laser is directed toward the tatoo that has to be removed. The sensation on your skin will feel like heat or an acute tingling, more or less painful, depending on where the tatoo is on the body. This treatment is still less painful that the tatooing process itself. An ointment and bandage are applied on the treated zone after the session. Usually, 8 to 15 sessions are required to have a satisfying result. It’s tricky to anticipate the exact number of sessions that will be needed.
