Our story
Already 90 Years
1928
Foundation
Inaugurated in 1928 in the early days of the City of Rouyn-Noranda, the Noranda Hotel (as it was known at the time) was built and operated by the Noranda Mining and Metallurgical Company.

1996
Expansion
In 1996, with the addition of fifty rooms, the inauguration of the Rouyn-Noranda Convention Center and affiliation to the Gouverneur banner marked the beginning of a new chapter for the hotel establishment.
2018
Evolution
The year 2018 marked the arrival of the Noranda Hotel & Spa in the Ascend banner, a high-end banner of the Choice Hotels Group, which represents more than 7,000 establishments worldwide.
